History

NBL titles won

3

1985, 1987, 2006-07.

Key moments

  • Beat Adelaide 120-95 in 1985, the last single-game grand final in NBL history.
  • Set an NBL record 21-game winning streak on the way to the 2006-07 championship.
  • Returned to the NBL for the 2016-17 season after an eight-year absence.

Controversy

  • In 2008 the club handed its licence back to the NBL after owner Eddy Groves's ABC Learning Centres empire collapsed, and it sat out the league until 2016.
