  • Became the first NBL club to win three straight championships, from 2003 to 2005.
  • Won back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023 under coach Brian Goorjian.
  • Beat Adelaide in overtime in Game 5 of the 2026 Championship Series before an NBL record crowd of 18,589.

Controversy

  • In June 2008 the NBL terminated the club's licence after the collapse of Firepower left the Kings unable to pay player salaries, and it did not return until 2010-11.
