History

Super Bowls won

None

Yet to win one.

Key moments

  • Lost two Super Bowls to San Francisco in the 1980s, the second on a Joe Montana drive with 34 seconds left.
  • Reached Super Bowl LVI after the 2021 season, the club's first in 33 years, and lost to the Rams.

Controversy

  • The 2000 stadium lease is widely cited as the most one-sided in American sport — Hamilton County took on the cost overruns and later cut public services to cover them.
